"Let Him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth" in the song of songs 1:2, is a transcending kiss, not a kiss that remains fixed on one's fallen nature, or the natural senses.
Just as Jesus tells St. Mary Magdalen after rising, "Do not cling to Me; for I have not yet ascended to my Father" (Jn 20:17); in the same light, He encourages us to transcend this natural realm and our natural senses, in order to encounter Him present among us, especially in His Eucharistic Presence.
This is why fasting is such a great aid in this transcendence; because we are freed from earthly attachments that weigh us down and prevent our souls from soaring.
And Mary, "Spotless Bride", shows us the way. :)
"To Our Divine Eucharistic Bridegroom, through Our Immaculate Mother!"
