Do we not see the writing clearly on the wall in this situation? Mary’s Fiat: “Be it done to me oh Lord, according to your word” (Lk 1) VS Satan’s “non-servium!”
Yes, we as women can come forth and say, “I have the right to do whatever I want with my body and with whatever is within my body (ie. the child in the womb).” And, ok, but Cain also felt he had the right to kill Abeland the result was not a happy one.
We may as well tell it as it is:
“My body, my choice – If I want to kill the baby in my womb, I can; if I want to take the life of an innocent child, a miracle of God, then I can. I want to live my life the way I want too; not the way my Creator created me to live it; and not on the principles on which this Nation was founded.
In having such a mindset, do we realize we are saying: I don't want my name written in the Book of Life; I want to choose to live apart from God, from Love, from Truth, from Light, for all eternity?
‘My body, my choice is saying, “non-servium” to God. I do not need you, I do not want you to tell me what to do; even though He is the one who brought about life in the womb; and, of course, our own life. Do we not see the writing on the wall of our destiny in life if we remain in this stance. We are choosing a culture of death. And if we choose such a culture of death in this life, then we will have death for all eternity; we will have the fires of hell for all eternitybecause this is the choice we are making in this life.
It is true that God is giving each of us a free will to choose whether to serve Him or not. But, we as Christians have a right to let others know when murder is taking place; when the killing of an innocent life is taking place.
What of the child in the womb? Can this child say, “my body, my choice”? No! According to the mother it can’t; no doubt the child, created by God, experiences the mother’s rejectionand the mother’s lack of love. The silent scream of the child within the womb during an abortion is horrific to say the least. And, yet God’s eyes are on that child. God’s eyes are on us all, to see what we are choosing. “My body, my choice” is saying, “My body, my will, not Your Will God!”
And, is this not what Adam and Eve did in the Garden at the fall? My will, not Yours, God!” It is to say, “I don’t want to live in your Paradise, Lord!” “I don’t want to live in Your Kingdom here on earth and beyond. I want to live in another kingdom, where I reign.”
And, Jesus tells us clearly what happens to those who follow the path of lucifer, the fallen angel. If God is the Way, the Truth, the Life; if He is the Light of the World, then, not having God is darkness, is death, is deception, is suffering for all eternity; it is lies, sin, despair, depression, death, unhappiness, unfulfillment, and all that is negative.
“God alone is good.” If we reject Him, we are choosing evil.
If we want to live in Heaven for all eternity, if we want to return to the “Garden” - to God’s Kingdom - even here on earth, we must say to God, “This is my body surrendered to You! I am the handmaid of the Lord, be it done unto me according to Your Holy Will; I want to serve You, I want to be Your child, I want you to show me who you’ve created me to be. Not my will, but Yours be done!
