From Sinner to Saint: St. Romuald shows us how

St. Romuald Brought Great Renewal to the Church in 11th Century, a Time Similar to Ours. May we Learn How and Do the Same.

St. Romuald led a sinful, worldly life in his youth, but in his 20’s turned his life over to God; striving to live an austere life of prayer and penance. He brought great renewal to the Church in the 11th century, especially fostering eremitical asceticism, and is founder of the Camaldolese Benedictine order. Below is a great homily on the inspiration that St. Romuald is for us today!

Mass Collect: +O God, who through Saint Romuald renewed
the manner of life of hermits in your Church,
grant that, denying ourselves and following Christ,
we may merit to reach the heavenly realms on high.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.+
