COMMUNING WITH JESUS IN THE WOMB OF MARY

As we continue in this Advent Season during the O antiphon’s, nearing the birth of Jesus, let us reflect on Jesus in the Womb of Mary. 

We read in Luisa Piccarreta's Christmas Novena, Jesus saying: "My love devoured Me; the fires, the oceans, the immense seas of love of my Divinity inundated Me, burned Me to ashes, and sent their flames so high as to rise and reach everywhere - all generations, from the first to the last man."

As Saint John the beloved rested his head on the heart of Jesus at the last supper, listening to his heart beat, may we rest our heads on the Womb of Mary, listening to Their hearts beat in unison, inflamed with love for us. In this we experience our Devotion to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in its initial stages.
In resting our heads on the womb of Mary, may we be aware of our hearts beating with Theirs, as we seek to dispose ourselves to the love that flows from Their hearts to ours. 

DO WE OPEN ourselves to these profound graces which flow from this mystery of the INCARNATION, where God comes in the "likeness of man" to draw us into the infinite Love of His Divinity? Certainly none of us do so fully, but may we at least strive each day to be receptive to such love that He wants to bestow upon us.
Key to moving forward in this is our Lord's words to us: “Truly I say to you, unless you change and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven" (Mat 18:3). We must surrender all -- letting go of all that we seek to control or attach ourselves to in this life that is not of God Himself.
"Abide in Me, and I in you" (15:4), Jesus tells us. Just as with a vine and its branches, may we be nothing without God and all things with Him; as we allow his graces, the Fire of His Holy Spirit of Love and Truth, to flow through us and bear fruit that will last. 

This our Holy Mother Mary did throughout every moment of her life; and hence we find ourselves in this mystery of the Incarnation of Christ. Could Mary have been any more fruitful than to bring Jesus, the Son of God, to us? This, in fact, is our calling as well: to find room in the "Inn" of our own hearts to invite Jesus in, allowing Him to be conceived/born within us; and from there, in the lives of all those we meet, be they disposed to such graces of our visitation. 

Grace and peace to you all as we continue to prepare our hearts for the birth of our Divine Savior and His second coming among us.
