BEWARE: Don't be deceived by the deception.

MANY ARE. ARE YOU?

Many people today – actually the majority – are being deceived to varying degrees. The question is: Are we personally?

How important it is for us to pray daily for the gift of discernment of spirits; and discernment to know God’s will for us vs. our human will apart from Him.

Do we have eyes to see, “ears to hear” and hearts that are awake and sensitive to who God is, and what is of Him in these dark times?

Yes, the dark is very dark, but the light is very bright, and there is much hope and grace available to those who are truly seeking God.

Problem is, many Christians are “lukewarm” and “asleep” – unable to recognize what is truth and what is deception. And, so, the dark can even seem to be a light to many; because it is covered in a false “sugar-coated” aurora. 

“Satan masquerades as an angel of light” (2Cor 11:14).

“WHAT IS TRUTH?”

The question for us is: Are we able to recognize what is truth and what is deception? Pilate wasn’t. 

“‘What is truth?’ retorted Pilate” (Jn 18:38). 

Adam and Eve had a hard time recognizing it in the Garden of Eden, even though they had preternatural grace; because they became half-hearted in seeking God’s Divine Will. All the more must we be diligent and vigilant as Christians, striving to grow daily in communion with Christ, taking on His heart and mind. Because, without Christ, we are being deceived, whether we know it or not.

Example: Do we ever feel confused about what is right and wrong, and what is truth today? This is a clear sign that ‘ol slew foot, the adversary, is on the prowl (1Pet 5:8). And with such a heightened confusion prevailing today, it is evident that his prowl is rampant.

When Jesus went into the desert for 40 days to fast and pray (Mat 4:1-11), satan tempted Him by quoting Holy Scripture, to try to deceive Him. Satan will mix varying degrees of truth with lies to trick us up. Of course, Jesus recognized the deception, though it was clouded with much truth — because He is “the Truth” (Jn 14:6).

 How many of us can say we are the Truth? Or, we know clearly what is true? None of us. Not even Mary, the Mother of Jesus, could say that on her own. Only Jesus, and of course the Father and the Holy Spirit. And, so, just as Mary sought to be in constant communion with our Triune God, in order to know God’s Holy Will and His Truth; we must also. This is the only remedy against the grave deception of our time. And, this is why Jesus gave us Mary at the cross – “Behold your Mother” (Jn 19:27), so she could show us the way to such union with God.

Revelation 12 and 13 speak of the “black trinity”, which is in opposition to the Most Holy Trinity (Satan always counterfeits). The Huge Red Dragon, the Beast like a Leopard and the Beast like a Lamb, are deceiving the majority of people today. It is only a remnant who are aware of this grave battle at hand. And, it is the “Woman clothed with the Sun…with Child”, “St. Michael” and the whole Heavenly cohort, who are there to aid us in choosing our Triune God.

But, we must first awake from our slumber in order to recognize our great need for their assistance – our great need for a Savior. And, the sooner, the better – because tomorrow may be too late.
